How to get duplicate i485 receipt

hi,
My employer is not sending me the copy of the I485 receipt. After 50 or 60 emails he responded back with receipt number and he said that he will not send the copy of the receipt.

He is the worst employer. He deducted money for EAD processing and when i contacted USCIS for change of address, they mentioned that EAD was never applied for me. After 50 emails and ~50 calls his response is, yes we didnot apply for your EAD.


I discussed with Lawyer and he said that i have to contact my employer.
Please let me know if there is any form that i can fill and send to uscis requesting for duplicate I485 receipt.

Did you get your fingerprint notice? It should have come directly to you and the lawyer should have gotten a copy.

You can use your fingerprint notice as proof of 485 filing (it will have ur receipt # on it) and apply the ead card yourself directly without involving the lawyer or ur current employer.. and then once u have it u can give them the finger.. :-)
 
What your company seems to be doing is illegal, the I-485 is your process nothing to do with the company. I would suggest checking with someone on that. The LC (PERM) and I-140 the company have every right not to give you information if they so choose but the I-485 is nothing to do with the company it is yours. The company can still screw you prior to 180 days with the I-140 but after that you are free of your ties to the company with the provisions under AC-21. I would definitely check with a lawyer or someone regarding this thought.
