How to get a senator/congress man involved for I-485 approvals

Hi,

I see some approved cases with senator involment. How can I
start that process, or where should I start? INS received
my RFE 3 months ago and as of now, no change in the message.
Last time I talked to INS officer, He told that the file is
with an Officer. !!

Which state and City??

Get the email addresses of you Senators and Local Congressmen and mail them a Letter requesting their Intervention?
Start with the Congressman...
 
Just now I heard from Attorney that my case is approved.

He told me that Senator\'s office people called him and told him that my case is apporved.
We approached Senator as our case took very long time. We responded for RFE on 21s1 Mar2002 (INS received docs then). No approval. Then my attorney drafted letter for both local senators.
Seems like it worked.

There will a general format for the document to take the help of local Senator.

Ask your attorney. Sign it. That will give authorization for Senator\'s office to talk to INS.

Could you kindly give me an idea of what was in the letters and a general idea of the format. I would really really appreciate it.

My ND for the I-485 is Dec 12 2000 and I am still waiting.

Any information wil be very highly appreciated.

How long did your I-485 take? My wife\'s I485 has taken > 400 days, no RFEs nothing, FP on 3/8/2002, case with an officer since 4/11/2002.

It took over 400 days for I485. Feb 14 th RFE issued

INS received the reply on March 15th.
So far no luck !!
