My initial H1 is valid till June 4th 2005,I had applied for H1 transfer in March 2003, which got approved on july31st of 2003.No papers were received from the INS regarding the same, though it states as mailed at uscis.gov against the receipt number.
My employer (to whom I had transferred my H1 to) has sent in another petition for the papers again, this receipt number in the uscis.gov states that it may take anywhere from 299 to 999 days to get our case.
My questions are –
1) My sons H4 ,I believe was not applied for during the transfer(not sure about it)
in that case if I apply for the H4 now, will it be approved and what papers are required to apply for it (still waiting for the papers from the INS about my H1).
2) How do I find out the date till it is valid for which my recent H1 is valid for?
Please advice.
