How to find status from NVC?

Hi All,

My application to NVC for CP was sent in April. Sometime in June they got back to my lawyer as they needed me to write my name in my native language. It has been a month now since I sent that information.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the NVC to process the application and send it to the consulate in CHennai.

The reference number that my lawyer has given me starts with a MDR. I called the number he had given me and there is no option that starts with MDR.

Does anyone know how to find the status?

1. Call the 603 334-0700

2. Select opion, 2, 2, 1, then MDR, 1 (if entered correctly), numbers following mdr, 1 (if entered correctly) - this will give you an automated status.

3. If you want to talk to an operator hit '0' for most up to date information on your case.
 
Thanks for the info. It was very useful. It looks like NVC sent the application to the Madras consulate on July 16. I am hoping the interview will be in October.
