Is there a way to find out if a FP notice is issued?. My online case status update shows last updated on 9/10/06 but I still have not rcvd. FP notice. I was wondering it might've lost in the mail as our mailman is known to messup deliveries.

Here's my timeline

Nebraska Svc. Center-Chicago DO

8-23-06: Application Sent
8-24-06: Application Received
8-24-06: Priority Date (on the Receipt notice)
8-28-06: Checks Cashed
9-07-06: Notice Date

You should have really received it by now. In fact, your last update indicates that a FP letter was sent out. I would look in to it and make sure the mailman didn't misplace it or lose it. Otherwise, if you are really worried, go straight to the Pulaski center and ask them you want to get your FP taken and you fear that the notice was lost in the mail.

Aren't there multiple ASC's in Chicago area. How do I know which ASC to contact?.

I think there are two, check the USCIS website. They will always assign you to the one closest to your zip code. Let me know what happens.

I went to Naperville ASC this morning with my receipt notice and mentioned am afraid my FP might've lost in the mail. They asked me to wait for atleast 30days after my initial notice date before talking to USCIS or re-visiting back to ASC. Can do nothing but wait couple more weeks I guess..

Based on these posts, I think you should seriously consider drawing attention to your local post office and let them know that deliveries are being messed-up and how important it is for you to get some letters delivered correctly. You can quote your experience with the FP notice to highlight your plight.

Maybe if the postal authority is sympathetic to your issue they might give it a second thought and see how best they can address the issue. They may not even be aware that this is happening if no one complained. If someone has complained then it will reinforce the issue to be considered.

Just be polite in your approach and surely they might listen. No harm in giving this a try becuase it might happen again with your IL or Oath letter and think about the delays your might experience then.

Good luck.
