how to find a consultant company is trustworthy or not?

Hi,
I've been talking to one consultant (scopus consulting group Sunneyvale CA) but I want to know how much they are trustworthy.
Is anyone has joined that compnay before? pls share your experience here

Also is there any resources that I can use for such cross-check?
