How to File Taxes while Dependants are in India

Hi,
I got married in Feb 2004 and I am on H1, my wife is still in India and she did not come to US at all. Can I claim her as a dependant while filing for my taxes for the year 2004?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You should get them a TIN or ITIN number to file them. Go to the IRS website (www.irs.gov) and search the topic "TIN" or call them. They are the right person to talk to about this matter.
 
Dependant Test in 1040.

If I remember correctly, the 1040 Instrunctions documents details on who could be called / claimed as dependants.
If the spouse had entered US even on Dec 31, he/she could could be claimed as dependant. In your case, this test fails. So you cannot claim her/him as dependant.
