I've a sharp pain in getting my family members here! My wife and son were interviewed in Feb 2004 (petitioned I-730 in April 2002,approved in Sept 2002) in my home country's USCIS office, now one and a half year already past but no news yet. What is ridiculous is that people interviewed from Mar-Dec 2004 have been here! I won't blame USCIS if my case is among the few who needs deep back-ground check, the question is that nearly all beneficiaries interviewed between Nov 2003 to Feb 2004 were neglected! I got the information both from some lawyer's offices and a special internet like-minded group. This issue makes me more and more hopeless for this country and painful in my four-year lonely mind. Some information sources say that the USCIS office LOST the documents, and some say they put those files aside because of officer's negligence.
Oh! My god! Where and how can I file a serious claim against those bureaucratic officers?
i think the process may change over time. my parent applied the status for me 7 yrs ago. i got my interview in my home country after about 6 months of my parent`s asylum approval. and i got the visa in 30mins after my interview.
