How to ensure that entire family gets interview on the same day

I am ready to file N-400 for my family of four. Are the applications kept together somehow by INS? How to make sure that I will get interviews for all four of us on the same day? :)

Thanks.

I don't think that you can do anything to ensure that. If you read other posts, you will see that sometimes a wife and a husband don;t even get interviews the same day...

There is no way that I'm aware of to *ensure* this happens, but you and your wife may get lucky. My wife and I were interviewed on the same day - by different IOs - and now, despite both being "recommended for approval" I've received my oath letter and she is still waiting.

From what I understand, the rules concerning non-citizen children under 18yrs require both parents to naturalize first, then you apply with N-600 to request their certificates of naturalization. (Rules vary slightly if one spouse deceased or divorced.)

grouping of applicants might have negative impact.

boatbod been following your postings for a while, great job...just felt should pitch in something.
Applicants can file for n400 togethor, just put all the applications in seperate envelopes and put all envelopes in a single packet and mail it to them and request a group processing.
But i am not sure if this is current as of today,it might have changed yesterday ;) .

uscis latest findings suggest that in a large number of cases grouping actually has a negative impact.
Say the 4 of u apply(i guess in op's case 2 as kids can apply based on parents citizenship),again say husband and wife apply togethor and request for grouping, husband gets stuck in name check, guess what wife case doesnt move till the husbands name gets cleared.
hope this helps

Interesting! Wish I'd know that before I submitted my app.

well i guess atleast you can spread the message and help others...but be cautios as the file says it most probably will cause delays.

I asked for grouping when I submitted mine and my wife's. They must have ignored it as she has her interview date assigned and I am stuck in name check.

I am hoping that if my name check clears in time then they will see it in my file and schedule me for the same interview date that she has.
