How to deal with this crappy situation

Hi guys new here great site with lots of information, hopefully you guys can help me out.

Background info.

My mom and my dad were divorced a long time ago. I came with my mom to the US without my dad (after the divorce). We became US citizens.

2.5 years ago, my mom felt bad for my dad because he has no money and asked me to petition him to the states. I had no income at the time, so I petitioned him with my friend as a co-sponsor. My parents did NOT get re-married in the process, I petitioned him as an immediate relative.

Ever since he got here, he made no attempts to look for a job, squads at our house and spends money.

Last month, he went back to our home country for a visit, so we asked him to bring $9,000 cash back for some relatives. He never handed over the money when he got there and has since expressed to a family friend that he does not wish to return and has no intention of returning the money.

I want to know if there is a way to revoke his green card or to pull out of the sponsorship for me and my friend. I fear that he will return secretly and cause financial harm in the states that me and my friend will be ultimately responsible for.

So is there a way to do this?
I am also considering filing a police report for theft of money from us. Will this act of theft cause him to be arrested and deported if he tries to return to the US?

Basically I just don't want him to come back nor do I want to continue to be financially responsible for him.
What should I do?

any help is appreciated

If he stays long enough outside the US, his green card will be revoked, and the Affidavit of Support will be terminated. But while he is a permanent resident living in the US, your financial obligation is irrevocable until he acquires 10 years of Social Security credits.
