Dear friends,
I applied for Canadian PR (thru a law firm) in Jan 2004 while stuck in US GC uncertainty. Subsequently, I recieved US GC in Nov 2004. At that time, based on input from several people on this forum, I decided to abandon the Canadian PR app.
Today, I got the following e-mail from the lawyer's office. How would you all advice that I proceed to close this case. I dont see the need to pay them $700 for services they have not rendered.
Dear Mr. -----;
Please note that we have received a final notice from the visa office,
providing you with 60days to provide medical examination results and police
clearances, failing which your file will be closed.
Whether or not you wish to proceed with your application please note that
our last remittance of US$700 is still due as per contract. We will forward
you medical examinations upon receipt of this remittance.
Please confirm receipt of this message and advise as to how you would like
to proceed, as well as forward our outstanding payment.
Regards,
xxxxxx
