finally i got my passport stamped

let me give my 2cents of how to deal with ins

1)Never give them more information then they ask

that usaully ends up with interviews and delays

2) When replying for RFE dont even mention AC21

just submit ur emplyers letter and the W2. in some cases

they want u to explain if u changed job then u have to.

3) if u r planning to file for 485 better do it thru vermont

VSC ppl never get RFEs incase u get laid off u dont have

to worry

4) dont try to move to another state u will get interview

5) dont inform them if u changed jobs on AC21.

"3) if u r planning to file for 485 better do it thru vermont VSC ppl never get RFEs incase u get laid off u dont have to worry"

This statement is not true. Many VSC folks also got RFEs.

[Sri] Okay...

2) When replying for RFE dont even mention AC21

[Sri] If they look at your case they will know who is your GC sponsor. If you submit EVL with some other employer they will generate another RFE, further delay. BCIS is not smart enough to automatically apply the recent laws, we need to let them know. What is the problem if you mention AC21 anyway?

3) if u r planning to file for 485 better do it thru vermont

[Sri] VSC might be better. However, VSC people do get RFEs.

4) dont try to move to another state u will get interview

[Sri] It is foolish not to move to any other state if you lose the job and try to get in the same state, especially in this economy. After all, where is the guarantee that the case is not going to be transferred if you move to some other place in the same state?

5) dont inform them if u changed jobs on AC21.

[Sri] I don't know what is the basis for this. Many people did and I personally did. Of course, its a judgement call. What is the problem if you inform anyway?
