We received our plastic card after stamping but they have printed the wrong photographs and siganture . that is they have put my photo in my wife's card and vice versa. Can somebody tell me the procedure for this correction and how long does it take for the card corrected card to arrive.

Do we have to go for passport stamping again if our previous stamping expires before the corrected card comes.

Also will there be any problem at the POE if we show the pp stamping since we have received the card but has been sent for correction.

The cards are printed by a goverment contractor, and what brain caliber they are is something you can easily find out by calling the CIS 1-800 number.

This is hilarious. Somebody posted here that they put 'French Polynesia' instead of 'Austria' as country of origin.
My mother in-law received the a card with her middle name as her first name and misspelled at that.....

Apparently you have to file that form for replacement of a card along with a letter asking for a waiver of the fee. It can take a couple of weeks/months to get your new card. (I believe they require you to surrender the old card when you apply for the replacement, in this case you would depend on your passport stamp as proof of your status.)

That is how I understood it.

Maybe you would want to take your approval notice along and the correspondence regarding the messed up card. The PP stamp is legal proof of your status and the border officer can check your status on the 'interagency' computer system.
