How to convert F1 (for my child) based on my Green Card

Hi,

My Green Card was approved in 2004,
when I filed for I140, I had added my child & wife name,
I need to bring my child to US for further studies,

noticing the I824 is taking 6 months to process,
I have brought my child to US on F1 visa,

please advise how to process following to join for my child who is now in US on F1 visa
