How to contact Buffalo Office?

Hi,

Buffalo Office received my application for Canadian Permanent Residency in January 2002 and the money order was cashed in the same month. I have not yet received any acknowledgement from the Office. It has been more than 8 months since the Office received my application. I would like to know how to contact the Office. Your help would be appreciated.

You should definitely contact Buffalo. Try sending them fax at 716-858-9591 or send them a letter. You can get the address from CIC site. Usually they don't reply to faxes .
I too received my file number in 6 months .

Hi,

Thank you for your piece of advice. I faxed and mailed a letter to Buffalo office. I got the response within a week. I received the file number and the Buffalo office would need 52 weeks to complete the assessment of the application. So I may get to know the status fo my application after January 2003.

Could you tell me what details you provided in your fax to the bufallo office.
I too have applied to the bufalo office but havent yet received the file number.

and by the way congrats (atleast you have recived the file number)

Here is the info

Hi,

I mentioned the following info in my letter to Buffalo office.

Information from the financial institution that the check was cashed.
Information from the USPS that the application packet was received in January 2002 by the Buffalo office.
