how to combine I-485 after I-130 have been filed

Hi,

My parents are in US. I filed I-130 for them a few month ago and plan to file I-485 after I-130 approval when they could be back to China.

Now, a friend told us it's better to file both applications together, so that my parents don't need to go back to china.

Anyone knows how to file I-485 before I-130 approval and ask USCIS to combine the applications just as they are filed at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

Larry

You just have to file I-485 and attach a copy of receipt/notice you received for I-130 you sent for them. Mail the package to Chicago Lockbox.

will withdraw I-130, then re-file will be faster

thanks,

I heard that it will take much more time for USCIS to combine I-485 filed not at the same time of I-130. Is it true?

Another choice I heard is to redraw the previous I-130 application, and re-file them together. Not sure if re-fille will confuse USCIS.

Which approach do you suggest? I like to get it done as soon as possible,
paying extra money for re-file is OK with me.

Thanks,
Larry
