I am the principal applicant for Adjustment Of Status / Permanent Residency (I-485) application pending with the local USCIS office in Baltimore, MD. We have filed an application for adjustment of status to that as of Lawful permanent Resident with the USCIS Vermont Service Center on September 25, 2003 (transferred to Baltimore in December 2004).
On Jan 29 I was informed by e-mail that the FBI's Name Check request was received from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on October 21, 2003, for me and my spouse, and they are currently in a pending status since then (a record check for my child was completed on April 10, 2004). A copy of this e-mail is attached.
We recently did a FOIPA request and received a response ‘no record’ for both of us. Copies of the response are attached.
I am sending this note to you kindly asking for your office to please expedite the security/name check for me and my spouse, pending for such a long time since October 2003.
