how to check if my case is ok?

You know, two jerks in CSC shredded a number of documents, but INS has never officially announced it -- at least I don't know, until newspaper and TV reported this.

Since this document shredding happened between Jan 2002 and Apr 2002, I'm worrying the fate of my documents ....... do anybody in this forum know if there is any special phone number offered by INS to call to check status of documents?

By the way, some people complained the NOV, DEC cases in 2001 are ignored while BCIS begin to process cases of April 2002. I'm wondering how they can process those cases if they were already destroyed ?

I don't mean to scare you, because I guess most likely NOV, DEC cases were already moved off the mail room where the shredded document were placed , but, how about Jan, Feb and March cases of 2002? if you connect Dec 2001 directly to Apr 2002, it can be explained ....

Can you please let us know your case details. rd,nd, fp, ap etc.. Did BCIS ask you to resubmit the docs?

My ND is in 02/02 and I got my EAD, AP, AP renewed, FP done etc.. If my docs were shredded, I wouldn't have been able to get all those done.

Based on the threads that have been floating around the last few days, BCIS is skipping cases where FPs are expiring. If that was the case, they shoudl have gone from Nov 01 to Jan02 instead of April 02.

I say Jan 02 based on the foll calculation

ND 01/05/02
FP notice 01/25/2002
FP Date 02/25/2002

And the FP would expire in 05/25/03 and would be eligible for approval.

FP 04/18/2002
EAD 05/05/2002.

No clue so far. these idiots are not even telling us that papers exist or not, man! this is the most frustrating time in life ...so far..
