I have an earlier priority date based on a previous I-140 that had been approved while working for one of my ex-employer. So when my new case was filed, I directed my attorney to make sure that the new I-140 gets the earlier priority date, but that somehow did not happen. She assured me that at CP time, she will make sure that the earlier priority date gets used. Again, when I called the automated number at NVC, it said since my date is not current (obviously they used date from my new case) and I should not expect until my priority date is about to become current.
I have completely lost my faith in my employer-appointed-attorney\'s ability to do anything right. So I am trying to call NVC to find out how I can update the priority date based on prior approved I-140 petition, but I can not get the automated system to connect me to operator. Does anyone know, how to contact NVC or unfortunately had a similar experience, can guide me what is the correct way to ensure that NVC updates my priority date ?
