How to cancel my sponsorship?

My husband has a temporary green card, and he goes for the renewal for permanent in September.
He's physically and mentally abusive to my kids and me, and threatened to kill me, I just got a restraining order and he is living elsewhere. Is there anything I can do to prevent him from getting his permanent green card, like cancel sponsorship or something. Please help.

No you cannot cancel your sponsership if your marriage was legit. He will have to remove his conditions by himself, but it can be done.

Try writing a letter to CIS, make sure to include his A-number. If he was arrested and or convicted someplace, put that information in the letter. That way, if his arrest or conviction was undetected, they might catch him lying. You might also include a copy of your restaining order and state that if your appearances is needed, you will not attend any interviews with him. If he truely is threatening to kill you, get evidence and call the police.
