How to calculate 90 days after RD?

Sorry I am too concerned about the wording. I tried to search how to figure this out many many times in this forum. Now I decided that I really need to ask for help here.

My RD is 3/1/06.
90 days from RD to be eligible to get iEAD in my case, is it
5/30/06 or 5/31/06? Do I count the RD in my 90 days of waiting?
Or should I count the day after RD as the beginning of 90 days?

I understand that I had RFE before, but I submitted it asap. I really need EAD now. I am still waiting for it. But I also want to have an opportunity open for iEAD. I am still going to try to get it 90 days after RD by infopass regardless of my RFE. I really hope I will get EAD approved before then.

Please Help me. Thanks in advance for any response.

Usually, when you start counting days, it is better to start counting from the next day (in your case, 1 day after RD)

2nd Mar - 31st Mar = 30 days
1st Apr - 30th Apr = 30 days
1st May - 30th May = 30 days
------------------------------
Total Days = 90 days
------------------------------

InfoPass on 31st May (91st Day) so you would've waited 90 days from RD. Just to be on the safe side, if I were you I would make my IP appt for May 31st.

Fonzie, did your RFE say anything about being ineligible for iEAD until after 90 days from your RFE response?

I'm just asking, because I've read of someone who still got his iEAD, even though he hasn't even responded to his RFE yet. And his letter didn't say anything about that.

I would try to get it, too. You never know! Good luck, and keep us posted! :)

Dear jenimmi,
Geez, THANKS SO MUCH for such a clear chart. That really gives me a clearer idea of how to calculate this. I think it's also going to help people like me to obtain iEAD. You're right, to just be in the safe side!!! As soon as I see 5/31 opens in my DO schedule I will take it. Thanks so much!!!! :D

Dear Patty,
Yes, my RFE did say about 90 days thing. But I am still going to try no matter what. Better than not trying anything at all. What's the worst is going to happen...send me back and keep waiting?! I don't mind. But if I really get iEAD, then I can work finally. That's definitely worthwhile. Also I can post my experience and let some people like me have another hope. Anyway, I can also take my chance to the city and go to Asian market to buy some yummy and healthy food for my hubby and me. ^^ Thanks for your encouragement. I really appreciate it. :)
