Dear gurus: I have an approved I140 from last time I went through the GC process. I was laid off from that job last year and I\'m going through the hell again. For my new process I\'m ready to file I140 petition and I want to reclaim the old priority date. How can I attach the approval notice to the new petition and make the immigration officer notice it? If I just put the approval notice in the stack of document, it can be easily ignored.
My lawyer doesn\'t think it\'s necessary to attach the I140 approval notice to the new I140 petition. He think we can reclaim the priority date at I485 stage. Is that right? thanks.
