I am got arrest 2 times ( 1 on 1994 and another 1 on 1995) both are shoplifting... I was so poor at the time 19 years old ...I am apply 2 times for to be a U.s citizen form and paid , but when I got my interview day. they ( officer) just send me home without talking anything to me.... My green card will be expire again at the end of this year. And I want to apply for N400 but afraid that I will waist the time and $$ , please give me some advice. ( I do have a proof of disposition charge of both case)

When did you apply for citizenship before? When did the denial letter say? Please explain for both times you applied.
When were the cases disposed? What was the sentence / disposition?
What reason did they give in the denial letter?
Last, when did you get your GC. What is the "resident since" date on your card?

Note that while your green card expires, your resident status does not. Yes, you should take citizenship if you are eligible. However, do not be in a hurry to file because of any date pressures. Get good advice ... from here or lawyers ... and then decide. Unless you have a new job starting, getting an updated GC should not be a priority.

What was the result of those arrests? Did you plead guilty? Get jail time, pay a fine or probation?

Did any of your parents become a US citizen before you turned 18?

People have been deported for shoplifting, so you have to be very careful about this. Unless the judge or jury found you NOT GUILTY free and clear, make sure to consult an immigration to review the details of both cases before you apply and risk deportation.
