Just download application form for advance parole (I think it is
I-130, just check). Fill out the form, take copy of your I-485 receipts, Check (for the required amount) and a photograph. Go to
arlington INS, take a token and wait for your turn. When you are called submit. It might take minimun 3 to 4 weeks. They will give you
a receipt. I think this info is enough.

It\'s done instantly in Baltimore for Maryland. I went there around 10:00 am and got it before the end of the day. It should not be any different for Virginia. In fact I sent my AP application to VSC when I submitted my I-485. I think it was taking 5 to 6 weeks. But I needed to go home earlier. So I walked in to Baltimore INS office just to find out if there was any possiblities of getting it earlier. The lady there told me, "I don\'t understand why people send these AP applications to VSC. They can be done at the field offices on the same day." She checked my I485 receipt notice and I131 receipt notice. Then she called VSC to find out if she should have me fill out another form and ask me to pay the fee again. The VSC told her the fee I sent to them (VSC) earlier was just fine. So I filled out another form in Baltimore, it was done so easily.

It is easier just mail the application to Arlington INS office.
