How to apply AP now ?

I already got 485/EAD receipts etc..
If I have to apply for AP should I apply to local INS office ?
or if its vermont..is it going to get stuck in that mailroom frontlog..
any help appreciated..thanks.
 
Just keeping the discussion alive as its something even I want to find out. What if you have sent application for renewing EAD and your previous EAD expires, can you get it from the Local INS center?
