Hi Everyone,
Am scheduled for my interview in 2 weeks and i hope everything goes well i would become a US Citizen days after. I was wondering if anybody has information on how to update my status as US Citizen. The reason been that i have filed I130 for my spouse(approved) and waiting for her visa number. Now that shes here with me now(thru B2) i would like to submit her Adjustment of status form I-485(and other I-765 etc) and me been a US citizen she does not need to wait for a visa number. The only information i need is how do i update my status as US citizen with USCIS. Any number to call or fax the naturalization certificate to.

Thank you for anticipated responses

Since your I-130 petion is already approved, you should send a letter to the National Visa Center. With the letter you should include a copy of the I-130 approval notice, if possible, a copy of the I-130 receipt they sent you when you first applied (although not essential) and most importantly a copy of your Nat. Certificate. Here is an excerpt from their website on where to send the letter.

Written inquiries, changes of address and requests to upgrade petitions due to naturalization of the petitioner should be sent to: WC The National Visa Center, 32 Rochester Avenue, Portsmouth NH, 03801-2909 or email NVCINQUIRY@state.gov . Please note that NVC is not open to the public. Unfortunately, some people have traveled long distances to inquire about their case in person, only to discover that we are not able to meet with them
