how to add spouse name to CP process?

husband's CP is under way. Packet 3 papers submitted to NVC and will be sent to New Delhi consulate in next 1 month. probable visa interview in April.
Got married recently (wife currently on H4).

Q: How to get wife's papers rolling for the CP? What needs to be done? Can someone please outline the process?

my understanding:
1. request (in writing or over tel?) the NVC to send the fee bill for wife.
2. NVC sends the fee bill.
3. send the fee bill back alongwith Postal order for $xxx.
4. NVC sends packet 3 for wife.
5. fill out the DS-230 forms and send back to NVC.
6. NVC reviews and sends the application to US embassy abroad
7. US embassy schedules the interview date.
8. go and take the interview.

is this correct?
Since the papers (for husband and wife) have been submitted separately to the NVC, How do you tell the NVC/US embassy to schedule the interview on the same date for both husband and wife?

1. Just send a copy of the Birth Certificate, copy of the marriage certificate and if the name has changed in the passport (with reference to the BC) send the copy of the pages in the passport showing the spouse's name
2 to 8 seem to be correct
The case number would be the same for both of you even if the papers are submitted at different times. Call NVC to indicate that her papers are coming up.

Basically, if the papers have not been forwared to the consulate, the same case no. will hold all the information.
