How the processing of my case will be?

Hi, friends,

I was wondering how the processing of my case will be. My case was filed concurrently in Oct, 02 and first FP in Nov, 02. By the end of Dec, 02, I got I-140 approval. Then nothing else happened and I thought that my case was totally forgotten by CSC. Then it suddenly jumped out the second FP request on 7/1/04 (it has passed 15 months limit for a while). I would like to hear from other friends you may have the same experience, is this a sign that my case will be touched by an IIO soon? Or just a machine-generated notice when it is time? (My online status just reflected the first FP result review has been received, the same as before)
Meanwhile, how long did you wait after your second FP to your approval? I have not got any RFE in I-140 approval and also no RFE till now for my I-485 application.

You may get a lot of opinions about this, but there seems to be no definite answer. After nothing since mid-2002, I got an FP2 notice (my FP1s were 20 months old). i suspected they were a machine generated response, but my lawyer said it 'might' indicate that the case is with an IIO for adjudication. People who got FP2s in Jan/Feb started seeing approvals in May/Jun. I don't know whether it's getting better of worse than that 4-5 month lag.

As for RFEs, a few people get them after FP2, most before, at least from my scanning of the forums.

If you want to see the trend ( assuming there is one !! ) see the scans posted by Kashmir and others....

That should tell you something.

You can also check the data on rupnet ( though its voluntary information - so its not complete ).
