How sure are delays caused by expired fingerprints ?

I took my fingerprints on 03/2005. PD=April 2002, RoW. I-485 RFEs replied,NSC.

Is USCIS typically making people retake fingerprints (after 15 months) and if so, how long should I expect a delay on my case ? Or do they approve/proces the case, let you know thru e-mail and then let you also know that you have to take your FP prior to receiving the cards ?

If the biometrics has expired .. they will ask you to retake it ... If they don't then the process goes on ..
If they approve UR 485 .. they will ask you take biometrics before U get the physical card..
