How soon I should renew EAD and AP ?

My EAD expires on Nov 11, 2004 and AP expires on Nov 5,2004. How soon I should I renew them ?. I have never used them though.

I am thinking of doing it electronically. I guess octFiler mentioned that there are some difficulties in eFiling. Can you pls. share them ?. (others too, if you have experienced any).

I personally did not have any difficulty, I just mentioned that I have read some where in this forum and so have decided to do it manually rather than electronically.
