How risk to travel using AP?

Right now I am in student visa. My I140 has not been approved yet. But I have AP.

Someone told me that I can not use my student visa to travel and I have to use AP. Is that true. Is there any risk to travel with AP? Do officers creat any problem at port of entry?

Thanks in advance. Anyone who use AP for travelling please respond what was thier experiences.

No risk

No risk at all. But my question is how did u get AP if u dont have i-140 approved. How did you become eligible for that? Just curious. At port of entry receipt for I-485 might help to enter using AP, I never hard any case that II asked for I-485 receipt at POE in case of AP.

Are you in F1 visa or H1 visa? I am asking those guys who were holding f1 visa before adjustment of status!!

Oh, Ok. I got you. Listen, it does not matter which status you are in. As soon as you use AP, your F1 status will be gone. Therefore, the answer is same for F1 and H1.
