How recent should sponsor's financial information be?

Hi everyone, my sponsor would like to know how recent his financial information should be, 1/2/3 months before the interview date? My interview is very early in August.

A couple of months is fine. The tax forms they ask for in support of the I134 are annual tax forms, so depending on the time of year those might be quite out of date anyway....

you will need:
I-134 form, filled, signed, and dated
tax transcripts for the years 2011-2013
"account verification letter" which normally include when the account was opened, and the current balance. (thanks to Mom for the info)

my sister is expected to be current in september and she has asked her sponsor to get the verification letter already. the other two required documents can be done as early as your sponsor is convenient.
