how often do people get interviews after I485 approval

Gurus here, Both my I140/485 are pending. However, I have a question about the final interview. Is it "always" required to have the local interviews before they grant the final physical card?

My I140 and 485 were filed concurrently. I heard a lot of people get both approved at the same time. In that case, would an interview still be needed? What's usually the case that interview will be needed?

I am asking this question, because I want to know if there is a chance that I do not even need to inform CIS my change of employer, meaning not to send the AC21 letter. Once they approve both my I140/485, I'd just go stampping and wait for the physical card to arrive.

please advice. thanks.

It is not always. There are no substantiated reasons for local transfers. It depends upon the officer. They transfer the cases for Quality control purpose. I do not know what that means.

Informing about the job change need not trigger a transfer. There are lots of cases including mine got approval even though it was informed to CIS.

It is advised that it is better to inform USCIS about the change of job once you get eligibility to use AC-21.
