how much time to get Receipt Notice

Hi,

We applied Citizenship on Nov 28th, reached our application on Jul 2nd till now, the cheques have not been encashed and not received any receipt notices. Anyone knows how much time it will take to receive receipt notice and cheques encash.

your reply is appreciated.
 
did you mean June 28, 6 months seems a long wait :) usually 2-4 weeks i would say based on threads here.

I'm starting to think that they mail many applications in bulk and that the DO and application mailing date don't matter too much. That is they matter for priority date, but not the order of mailing. I think they mail out NOAs to arrive within a range of 7-21 days from the date the check is cashed.

Excellent! This falls within the 7-21 days after CC. So I expect my letter to arrive by the 21st of July. a_singh, you're making timely progress. Hope to keep seeing your postings as this process continues! The only difference is that you are in SJ and I'm in LA, but the CSC processing times should be the same. You should also be receiving the FP Notice within the next 10-15 days!

we applied in TSC as we live in charlotte, my wife got it the sameday, but i got mine 3 days later. ( FP Notice that is ).

Yesterday, i was talking with someone from charlotte who applied on 5/30, had finger prints on 6/30 and his case status dissappeared from web on 7/13.

i hope the same happens to me.
 
Waiting for Receipt Notice - TSC (DO: Houston, TX)

Me: (5 year based)

N-400 received by TSC: 06/23/07
Check encashed: 06/29/07
Receipt Notice: Not Received
Fingerprint Notice: Not Received

My Wife: (5 year based)

N-400 received by TSC: 06/20/07
Check encashed: 06/27/07
Receipt Notice: Not Received
Fingerprint Notice: Not Received

Is there any way to find out the application receipt number (from check etc) ?
 
Yes..you can find out your case number from your check. For CSC..you need to add WSC*00 in front of the number that was written on the check.
 
At the TSC, the wsc*00xxxxx on the backside of cashed check doesn't match the wsc*00yyyyy number on your receipt notice. ( not sure why )
 
Application sent to VSC (NY) on 6/25/07 in overnight mail,
received on 6/26/07, check cashed on 07/05/07.

So far no receipt notice. Should I worry? Should I call customer service?
Also on the check it writes: EOCxxxxxxx, what's the EOC?

Calling Customer Service - No Receipt Notice

My wife called yesterday regarding the same issue. They said they are very busy right now as lots of applications are coming. They can check the status of your application by your A# if you have not received the receipt notice within 4 weeks of sending your application.
