how much time to get FP from NSC

Hi

Can anybody shed light on how much time they usually take to send finger prinitng notice after filing in NSC. I just filed yesterday and I may have to change my address sooner. So this information will greatly help me to plan!

3 weeks to 2 months is broad range to get notice
once you get filling notices call customer service to inform change of address
 
Thanks Eb1doc also! I was about to ask the same question. Now, Nathanss did you just submit your application? I sent them mine on 8/17 and only got the receipt yesterday!

Yes, I submitted on 9/12/2006. I wish my application gets transfered to TSC. Hope for the best.
 
I got my FP notice

I received my finger printing notice for next week. I actually received it from TSC. But I filed 485s to NSC. I have not yet received my reciept notice yet. Is my case transferred to TSC? I did not get any other message on transfer. Any body knows?

I wish you would check www.uscis.gov, at least the latest press releases, before posting obvious questions.

http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/publicaffairs/factsheets/BiSpec_063006FS.pdf, "To launch phase 2 of Bi-Specialization, USCIS has revised the I-485 filing instructions and has designated the Nebraska Service Center/Texas Service Center pairing to process employment-based adjustment of status applications (and related applications). Although the Nebraska Service Center serves as the centralized filing location, some petitioners/applicants will receive a filing receipt from the Texas Service Center, if the case is worked by that center. The Center that generates the Forms I-140/I-485 receipt notices will be the Center that actually adjudicates the case."

TSC is actually great news for you, it's by far faster than NSC.
 
I guess I was one of the unlucky, since mine stayed at NSC! :( My receipt number starts with LIN. I see people who sent I485 to NSC and got receipt a week after mine ALREADY getting FP dates!

Now, I wonder if they're sending the EB1 to TSC and keeping the EB2??

Please let me know the following:

1. When did you courier your doucments
2. What is your Receipt date
3. When did you hear about your Receipt date
4. Did you get RD before FP notice

3. When did you hear about your Receipt date -- I have not received reciept notice yet, 9/15/06 I checked online staus

Clarification - Online status check

NathanSS,
Quick question. How did you check online status, was yours concurrent filing so you had reference information ?. The challenge I have is that, I have I140 reference number but my lawyer couriered 485 docs but have not heard back... Sorry for such trivial question but would help,... if you can respond..

To check the online status of a case you have to have that particular case's receipt number. It's printed on the actual receipt, but also - when your fee check clears your bank - on the back of the check (viewable online). Hope this helps.
