How much time to approve I485?

My 485 RD date (EB3) from nebraska service center is April 29, 2004. I see that processing date for 485's are June 2005. Does this mean my 485 should have been approved by now? I did get a RFC for my birth certificate which was received by the INS on April 25, 2005, but I didn't hear back on the decision from them. I did get a notice from the INS that they recieved the BC documents I sent them? Any ideas on next steps? Anyone else in the same situation?

When was your 140 approved? What was your priority date?

My I-140 was approved atleast 2 years back...How would I determine my priority date...what exactly is my priority date?

Your 140 approval should have PD on it. If it doesn't

1. IF you needed a labor certification (LC) to file your 140, your PD is
the date you applield your LC to state.

2. If you don't need LC ( eg nurses,Professors etc) your PD is the date
you applied 140.

Right now for the whole world EB3 is not available. But in 2 weeks its going
to be current when they publish Priority date for OCT except for India/China/Philippines. For these 3 countries Dept Of State is going to establish a cutt of date.

if Cut Off Date is older than your PD your 485 cannot be approved( by law).
If your PD is older than Cut Off date you should be fine. When they pick your application they will adjudicate it.

My priority date is Nov 13, 2001..that when I filed for labor certification, and my lawyer confirmed that's my priority date.

Also my I140 was approved on June 10, 2002.
