How much time should consular processing take?

Dear All,

I am wondering if there is anyone who can provide his experience
for consular processing about time schedule?

I am also the one on the boat of consular processing.
My I-140 had been approved last year and finished the VISA payment.
My attorney just handed out my final materials (i.e. packet 3)
to NVC last month.
She told me that it is impossible to inquire case status.
And, the only way is wait now.....

I would be appreciated if you can share your some experience.

ps. my I-140 is based on EB1-A, and I am NOT in US now.

You should hear from NVC pretty soon. Any day. It takes usually 2-4 weeks for them to process especially for EB1, it is faster. And, yes you can inquire about the case by calling them personally at the 603.... number.

Thanks for reply. Actually, my attorney had forward the NVC notice
of interview at December.
For now, I am still waiting the packet from NVC.
