I checked cptracker.com but there are very few cases of dec approval. can you guys provide more details

You will probably be part of new NVC process for CP

My I-140 was approved on Dec 6 and received by NVC on Dec 11. I spoke to an operator at NVC last week. She said that although my case has been received it hasn\'t been entered in the system yet -- but should get done before the end of the year. What she also told me was that my case would be part of the new process for CP proceesing starting Jnauary 1. NVC will send a request for information packet (I guess similar to Packet-3) whuch we will have to pull together and send the response back to NVC at a specified location. Only after processing the information at the NVC will they send some information to the coulsulate in New Delhi to set up the interview there. She had no idea if the new process would be faster or slower (I guess it will be slower) but that\'s what they have been asked to beginning January 1.

Packet 3 is taking 45 to 90 Days

Guys,
Today I spoke to NVC. They told me that P3 is taking 45 to 90 days. Once I recieve P3 I will have to submit it back to NVC with all the document that I am suppose to carry to the consulate. NVC will review the documents and they will forward the case to the consulate.
Here are the key questions.
P3 takes 45 days.
how much time rest of the process will take. IS CP still faster that 485 6months rule. People suggested me that CP takes 3-4 months where as in 485 I must stay in the job for 6month. Please comment how much time it may take with the new process
One more quest:
Does 180 days rule apply to CP as well?

Spoke to NVC -- They confirmed your assumptions

They confirmed that my case was received by the NVC on Dec 10th and it should get into the system in the next week or so. Should expect for the Attroney to receive a Packet of Information Request in about 2 weeks from that time -- the documents would need to be sent back to NVC and they would review them before information is sent to the relevant Counsulate. I guess since we will be among the first batch of people to go through the revised system it should be fast and in that case the interview at the Counsulate would be a mere formality. I am being optimistic here -- it is an additional step that has been added and they could take their owen sweet time (no precedents yet for timing). I am hoping for the best. I am sure INS does not want a horde of potential CP seekers to now opt for AOS --- imagine the back-up that would create for AOS. CP should still remain a relatively faster bet.

Hmm..
They told me that it will take 6-10 weeks to send the P3 from the date the case is entered in the system

Dont worry they keep giving some standard replies like a "thotha"
but it might be sooner.
