How much time is taking for Advance Parole

Does any body know how much time it is taking for AP these days?
Please post details if anybody has recently got Advance Parole.
 
Sorry to discourage you but it is taking 5-6 months..

I have been waiting for more than 3 months. Plan to try and walk in at Newark.

If u are at a location where they allow walkins do that.

Go to Newark show them the receipt notice they will issue the AP same day, just have to wait for 3-4 hrs, which I guess is worth it instead of waiting for VSC to act..... they will not even charge the fee, just take a photocopy of the pending notice as they will attach it with application to show that why the fee was waived.
 
do you know how to get same day AP & where???

pls help.....is ther any place where I can walk in for AP

I am planning to go to Newark next Friday and hope my luck clicks.

Just to confirm the Documentation needed.


1. A copy of my AP receipt that I applied in October.
2. 2 photos
3. No money (since I have applied)

4. Another I131 application, correct? I can download the form and fill it out from home..

Anything else??

I'm at BOSTON right now. Would Newark people give me AP if I walked in with the original receipt.

If anybody knows if Boston office can give us same day AP. My wife's AP RD is 09/23/03 but not heard anything back except the receipt notice. My AP is expring on 03/30/2004. We want to go to India before that if we will somehow gets my wife's AP approval.
Your response will be greatly appreciated as I have to take a day off and I don't want to spoil my vacation time, if we are getting a negative reply. It really hurts when you are applying for something in the time mentioned and you are not hearing back (approval/denial/etc.) anything.

Yes all this will be good, just in case if the insist for money then just get the certified check from some shop near by but don't get it in advance, note this that I went after 90 days of pending AP application, so you take decision based on the same + take 485 copy too + yes another 131 application
 
Does anyone know if Arlington, VA office issues the interim AP if we show the AP reciept and Tickets?
