Does anybody have any idea or experience as to how much time is lost when a FP is reschuled ?
In other words , after how many days/months do you get the reschduled FP appointment ??

2-3 months. You may not loose any time of processing if your PD is not current and your RD/ND is not near Oct 99.

I think you can postpone it by a week at the most. That\'s what I remember reading on the FP notice. Please correct me if I\'m wrong. Thanks.

BJSR, Don\'t post bullshit please......

Are you sure about the info. INS allows 90 days timeframe to have your fingerprints. Don\'t just post anything you like. Do you have any basis/links for same. Or else keep your views for your own.

I think it varies from center to center.
Lately i saw a posting where the person said that the 90 day period was printed on his notice. But notices issued from VSC, there is no such statement. It only states that if you were to re-schedule we should send them back the original notice requesting for the same.
Also, earlier i heard that at Newarl you could so upto one week later, but these days , i have heard that you have and must go on the scheduled date only. I don\'t have any experience myself, but seeking advise beacuse very soon i am gonig to face one.

Hey Bondedslave,
Don\'t make statements like that. Chat is meant to give their opinions to the best of their knowledge. If you think you know better then you can always jump in to give your opinion at the first place. This is based on one of my friends experience in New Jersey. If you are going to ask the INS to reschedule the FP then the realistic time would be 2-3 months. I know about the time frame of 90 days but it is always not true.

Hi BJSR,

No offense meant. But, i am in the same boat as princeofpersia. When i saw your reply of 2-3 months, it was unacceptable for me after a wait of 13months of my I485 application. It was easy, overconfident reply for you to say 2-3 months like an arrogant IIO (which was so untrue from your mystery friend). I went to the local ASC and they suggested me to come for FPs on any day after the appointed FP date. So, Again i suggest you not to post negative reply to others misery. Be more relaxed in your opinions and add " I feel, I wonder, I recommend, I guess..." to your comments next time.

Princeofpersia,
I suggest you to personally walk to your designated ASC and check on your own. I suggest not to play the waiting game. Since, I was waiting for my rescheduled FP notice( which i have not received till date). The personnel working at ASC asked me to come on any day after my appointed date. I said , I don\'t have my original FP notice since i mailed it to them. He said " the xerox FP notice copy was fine. He suggested not to come on tuesday since it was busy at san jose centre.
