My sister is a US citizen(lives in NY) and she has applied GC for my parents who are in India. She submitted the I-130 application in the first week of Oct 2004. It was approved by the vermont center in a months time and we got a letter saying the case was transferred to some local office in New Hampshire. Few weeks ago my sister received another letter from INS asking her to send money order for affidavit of support which she did. In the last few days my parents back in India received letter from US Consulate asking them to fill out a form for medical checkup
My questions are
1) What are the further steps from now till they get GC
2)How many more months before they get their GC ? I know the time varies on a case by case. but does anyone know the approximate time.
3)Is there something we can do to expedite things ?
my wife is expecting and due in July 05. I was wondering if they could be here by then. any help appreciated
