How much time for Approval after 2nd FP

Hi all,

I am a new member to this site and wanted to know how much time does NSC take to approve I-485 after doing the second FP.

My second FP is scheduled to be done in late August

Here are my details:

RD: 11/30/01
ND: 12/04/01
First FP: Feb 02
Employment RFE: 04/23/03
RFE Recd: 07/15/03
Notice for 2nd FP: 07/18/03
 
RD : 10/26/2001
ND : 11/21/2003
Ist FP : 01/26/2002
RFE Sent by INS : 04/17/2003
RFE reply recived by INS : 06/17/2003
2nd FP sent by INS : 06/19/2003
2nf FP done : 07/17/2003
AD : ?????

Lets see what happens next !
 
This is really outrageous on BCIS part, when they've issued RFE it means that the file is open and BCIS is working on it. Then why do they have to send 2nd FP notice. FP notice means that you've to go through the painful procedure of FBI and other clearances etc. Total waste of time.

I'm on the similar boat, my FP will expire on 07/31/93, BCIS received my response to RFE on 7/23/03. I don't know what to expect.

It is outrageous. But the problem is that the FP card with INS " technically " xpires after 15 months, and your application cannot proceed w/o a valid FP check.

Actually the FBI folks are pretty good from their side. I got FPed on 07/17, FBI sent their check results back to INS on the same day. At least thats the status the the FBI rep gave me whan I called the FBI FP ph. #.

Anyways, good luck to all souls stuck with INS.
 
My case is almost similar.

My RD is Nov 30 2001
ND : Dec 04 2001
FP : May 07 2002
RFE : Apr 22 2003
RFE recvd : May 02 2003

luckily i don't have any second FP notice so far. I guess I may have to be ready by end of this month. I feel lucky if I get the approval meanwhile.
 
jaykarandikar, do let us know when ur case get approved.

the ineteresting thing is both jaykarandikar and I got our second fp notices, days after bcis recd our responses to the rfes.

does that mean that bcis is happy with our responses and have moved further on our case, or the generation of second fp is automatic, after the first one expires.
 
2nd FP and Employment RFE

I got my seond FP notice, and within days an RFE for employment verification. I dont think the 2 are related really. Just a coincidence that they are working on December cases and that it's been 15 months since my first FP.

I agree that the FP notices are automatic and generated when the FPs expire.
What I think is that when my RFE was generated my first FP still had not expired (RFE date within 15 months of FP). Once the RFE was generated, probably a case gets put on "hold". Once a reply is received and the proverbial ball is back in INS's court, the case becomes active again, and hence the 2nd FP was generated since the first one had expired by the time RFE response was received.


Between our company lawyers / INS, all of us get thoroughly @#@$$$$.
