how much longer after namecheck gets cleared ?

Hi everyone,

My details are

485 RD August 31st 2006
PD current (EB2 - rest of the world).
485 was stuck because of namecheck ....
which cleared on 18th October.

Sent Service Request to USCIS
in early October 2007 (did not know that namecheck
is clear, but wanted to get the status).

Sent Congressional Inquiry on October 20th 2007
to USCIS about 485 (after finding out that
FBI namecheck got cleared on October 18th 2007).

any guesses on how long it might take for
USCIS to process my 485 ?

LUD was in June 2007 due to service request.
no LUDs after that. No RFEs on 485 so far,
I don't know if they send RFE's before namecheck
gets cleared ....or whether after it gets cleared.

I would like to travel out of USA in December for
Christmas ..... any chance I might get my
485 / GC before that ? I am afraid that RFEs might
slow me down (like skin test or something ).

guru's any ideas ? thoughts?

As long as you have valid AP, you should have no trouble to come back even if your green card got approved during that time, I think you should be ok.
By the way, how did you find out your name check is cleared on 10/18?

After multiple attempts , FBI finally
responded and gave the information to Congressman
....who sent me a letter saying that the namecheck
cleared on October 18th. Been pestering them since 6 months.

I tried writing to everyone under the sun (as in the other namecheck
threads on this forum .....don't know which one got things started,
but definitely by Gods grace someone picked it up and started
working on it ).

I noticed from your signature that your namecheck is still pending.
I would recommend trying to write to first lady's office, if you
haven't done so already. I got the reply directly from FBI
that "your letter to mrs george w bush"....etc
"namecheck is currently in process". I think this might have been
one of the factors which triggered it . I think yours will
clear soon, since there are many people with 2005 /2006 RD
getting cleared.

Thank you for the information. I did write to First Lady end of Aug. 2007, it may take a while before I get any reply from them if they will reply. Good luck for us all.

If you submitted your 485 to TSC then you have to wait for atleast 1 month, since your processing date has not yet reached.
If you submitted to NSC then you should start bothering them with your letters and faxes so that they bend and approve your case. I am stuck in similar situation for ym EB1 case.

hi mogambo,

I've been pestering them since June 2007 (which was 60 days after
processing dates reached my RD ....processing dates reached my RD
around March). Yes, you're right ....it seems the processing dates have
slipped back this month ....during the monthly update.

No one really knows which order they process the cases in .
Hope your case gets approved soon ...its EB1 man .....
thats highest priority .
