How many times do they actually call you in for fingerprinting?

I also received a notice for interview a few days ago.
I am adjusting status based on marriage, by the way.

In principle one. But fingerprints expire in 15 (or is it 18?) months, so most people get two FPs. In some cases, fingerprints are un-readable, and they need to repeat them even more times. If they were unreadable last time, they'll probably state it on the new FP notification letter. At least they did with my wife's ...
