How many RFEs?

How many RFE's does one get for I-485 normally? I replied for an RFE for EVL in 07/2005. Because of retrogression, I do not know when will my case be adjudicated, will I be getting a second RFE for a new EVL if my case remains pending for a year more?
On Similar lines, I went for FP in 03/2005. Will I have to do these again?

I am sorry to write here. But I have no idea how to create a new thread.
My question is that how long it is going to take for me to receive an answer for my request on my I485 status last week and wonder is it a good idea to call again for double checking? It is still pending since Oct. 2004. Nebraska service center is processing May 1 2005. I filed under the category of self NIW EB2, nonretrogression country. Thanks.
 
Usually they try to get all the information throug one RFE, at least for I-485 processing.
