How many e-mails do you receive when you get approved?

I am just wondering I received two e-mails both for my approval and did not receive for wife's approval. I had two cases listed for me and my wife. According to online case status-my wife case is unchanged and is not approved. I am wondering what all this means.

So I ask the following quaestion to those who have been approved:
1. Did you receive seprate e-mails for each of the family members application.
2. Did you receive more than one e-mail for just your approval
3. If any of your family member did not get approved, did you receive separate e-mail for this.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Well, although I don't have a say for 485 right now, speaking from the experience for EAD approvals, I got 2 approval messages for each EAD applications. My spouse and I applied for our 3rd EAD in February in one package, we got approved separately, one week apart from each other. So totally I got 4 approval messages for our 2 EADs.

Thanks,

This basically means that both e-mails are ACTUALLY for me and not for me wife. I was hoping that may be one one of them is for my wife and they just havent updated her status.

I guess not so.

i too received two emails for one application - probably just a bug - sorry !

I don't think it is a bug in their system. You receive an e-mail when any update is done on your file....does not have to be approval. Here is what happened...first the office approved your case..hit the save button...you got e-mail. Then he/she went in typed more info...and hit save button...you got another e-mail.

I'm just making things up...it is my job to present bugs as features in real life... :)

I got 2 emails for myself when my case was transferred to the local office. None came for my wife. I confirmed with the local office that my wife's case was NOT transferred.

It seems everyone gets 2 emails for every action they perform.

Can we sue them for spamming us? :D
