How many days it take to get 140 receipt number

Hi Friends,

How many days it takes to get 140 and 485 receipt numbers and RD.

I sent my 140/485 papers on 12/13/2004, so far we (Myself and Lawyer) are not received receipt number but cheques are encached on 12/17. Did anybody sent their paper after 12/13 and received receipt numbers?

May be because of holiday season!!!!

You may find the receipt numbers on the back of the encashed checks. Your lawyer must have received the checks back or they will be available on the bank's website. Try it.

Generally it takes about 15 days to get the receipts. I would wait till the first week of jan in your case because of the holiday season.
 
Did not receive Receipt numbers yet

My case was filed on Dec 9th , did not receive receipt numbers yet.
Mine is substitution case with EB3 category ... is it possible new receipts
not getting generated due to visa retrogation

Got the Receipt ( Filed on 12/21/2004 )

All, For your information.

Although you can not predict the time frame, But my lawyer got Receipt notices of all the forms like 140/485/131/765 within Six working days.

Sammygc did you get your receipts for 140/485? Anybody got EAD approval for December 2004 filers? What about LaborUnknown?
