Same here.. One possible explanation (dont flame me for this) is that given the capricious wishes of congress and the quirky priorities they impose on the INS, the INS frequently runs out of funding for routine tasks and thus have not been diligent about having their databases updated with less significant information like status of FP etc. If they are able to pay for a run at a given point in time, well and good; If not, so be it, seems to be their IT philosophy. It would seem that they are relatively more diligent about updating the approval/RFE status.
