I did concurrent filing of my I-140 NIW and I-485 in middle of 2005. I-140 got approve din 2 months in 2005. I-485 is till pending as I recvd the letter that they are waiting for visa numbers to get availbale for India. I also contacted FBI they told fingerprinting complete same day in 2005. That means I am all set to get GC provided they have visas for my category in NIW. Which they do not as for INdia the visa numbers have retrogressed.
But EB-1 is still current visas available.
So I filed another I-140 EOA category. Got approved in Spet 2006 from TSC. I live in VSC jurisd.
Anyway then I tried to transfer my old I-485 filed with NIW I-140 to my new EB-1 EOA I-140, wrote several letters along with Pearson's memo which say it can be done. But nothing happened.
NOw I wish to withdraw my earlier I-485 and file a new one on the basis of I-140 EB-1 EOA where visa #s are current. I will mail my new I-485 application to NSC since they approved my I-140 EB-1 EOA not NSC as written in form instructions.
SInce my all checks are already clear for NIW aplication do you know how much time it would again take them to approve my new I-1485 which I will be filling end of this week ?
My friends say it wont take much time as FBI and other agencies already have your record and will quicly transfer their clearances to USCIS. Is that true?

I saw several lucky guys in visa trackers form EB-1 EOA or OR who got GC within 20 days to 2 months after filing I-485.
