Hi everyone
I just started my LC application. My company lawyer (he will hand my GC application) told me just do advertisement on 2 local newspaper on the same day and wait for one month. If there is no suitable candidate, my LC application can be submitted.

My question is: What is the requirement of DOL about advertising for LC application? Is the advertising done by me enough?
all the information are appreciated

I hope your Employer wants to file your LC in REGULAR becase normaly to file in RIR your Employer has to compleate the Advertisement for 6 months before filing in RIR i think it is for all the states SESA and Fedral DOL.

An employer is required to run only one (1) print ad as part of the pattern of recruitment for RIR in California. However, the employer must also submit evidence of other recruitment efforts during the six months prior to filing the RIR application (i.e., internet recruitment, headhunters, college recruitment, employee referrals). Beyond the single print ad, no other forms of recruitment are specifically required, as long as the total evidence submitted establishes a pattern of recruitment by the employer during the six month period prior to filing the application.

If the only documentation that is submitted is on print ad and an internet ad that have been posted very close together, the case is likely to be denied for an inadequate pattern of recruitment. Cutting back too much on recruitment documentation may result in RIR requests being denied, and cases being put in the regular processing queue.

It\'s not as easy to do as just post one ad in a newspaper.

Thanks for your information.
I asked our company lawyer. He told me that

there was a recent meeting between (DOL) and American Immigration Lawyer\'s Association (AILA), the DOL released updated advertising requirements. The DOL requires two print ads run for a minimum of one day as well as Internet advertising for at least three months."

Anybody knows that? why all the webs still say "SIX Months"

all the best
